Apple Changsha, the first Apple Store in Hunan province, was unveiled today. Apple Changsha is conveniently located in the heart of the provincial capital city, making it accessible to clients throughout central China.
We are excited to be opening in Changsha, a community rich in creativity and significant cultural heritage,” said Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People, Deirdre O’Brien. So many of our team members currently live in Hunan province, and they are eager to welcome and assist their new neighbors at Apple Changsha. The new store is located in the well-known Changsha IFS retail mall and overlooks the busy Huangxing Road, one of the city’s vital metropolitan attractions. Visitors entering the store from the outside will notice the distinctive double-height façade. Includes an entirely new gradient frit and mirrored coating technique that blurs the transition from top to bottom and changes look depending on the day or season. The all-new glass façade was manufactured responsibly in Tianjin, China, and is the world’s first Apple Store to use this façade method.
Customers will notice the Forum and the freestanding video wall, which houses Today at Apple programs, as soon as they enter the inside mall. Free daily classes led by Apple Creative Pros provide creative inspiration, educate practical skills, and assist customers in learning how to go further with their Apple devices. Beginning September, Creative Pros will present the specially crafted Today at Apple session Art Walk: Discover Changsha’s Colors.
Customers can explore curated Apple products and accessories or obtain personal technical advice from Geniuses at display tables and avenues surrounding the Forum. Customers may get shopping assistance from Apple Specialists throughout the store, as well as learn more about monthly finance choices, Apple’s trade-in program, and the newly established Apple Pickup service. The new store employs approximately 100 highly qualified retail team members who speak various languages such as Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, and French. Apple Changsha will open in China on Saturday, September 4, at 10 a.m. CST. The store will open with the same health safeguards for both retail team employees and guests observed in all Apple Stores locations around China.
Apple Car Production
Last month, Apple personnel claimed to have met with South Korean companies SK Group and LG Electronics to discuss Apple Car development. Now, Toyota of Japan mentions as a potential next destination.
Apple has been working on a car-related project since at least 2014, and it appeared that the corporation was trimming back to focus on autonomous vehicle software at one point. However, following many changes in management and hiring, Apple is currently focusing on developing a consumer car. According to Reuters, Apple intends to begin production on an Apple-branded self-driving vehicle in 2024, so DigiTimes’ focus on that timeframe isn’t necessarily a wild guess. Delays caused by the ongoing global health crisis or the current chip scarcity, on the other hand, might always stretch production until 2025 or later.
