The coronavirus pandemic is one of the most serious challenges for healthcare professionals around the world. Two days ago, the blockchain-tracking platform VeChain made an important announcement. According to this announcement, its blockchain-based medical data management platform co-developed with digital healthcare solution firm I-Dante has gone live and the platform will store COVID-19 testing results.
Thanks to modern technologies it is easier to cope with various problems. Interestingly, the first hospital that is using the blockchain-based medical data management platform is located in the Republic of Cyprus. The platform dubbed E-NewHealthLife is a step forward at it will help to make life easier for the local population.
Cyprus and the blockchain-based medical data management platform
Let’s have a look at this platform. It is important to mention that when people go to the hospital’s COVID-19 laboratory to undergo real-time diagnostic and antibodies testing, their medical and test results will be recorded on Blockchain. The platform created by VeChain and I-Dante will encrypt and upload the data onto the VeChainThor Blockchain.
Interestingly, the results will also be able to the E-HCert application. Thanks to E-HCert it is possible to reduce the costs associated with data sharing and storage.
There is no need to worry about this platform, as data belongs to the data owner. Importantly, users have full control over their data and medical records. Also, people can access their results on the app. Moreover, it is possible to prove the health status by using this app.
As a result, thanks to E-HCert records people in Cyprus have the opportunity to comply with local quarantine and health regulations when it comes to returning to work, etc.
The coronavirus pandemic created a lot of issues for the people around the world. This blockchain-based medical data management platform will make life easier for people who live in Cyprus.
