Crypto Debit Card and European Economic Area

Binance and its crypto debit card

The crypto exchange giant has confirmed the shipping of its crypto debit cards to Europe. Interestingly, several days ago, the CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, mentioned this development. According to Changpeng Zhao, Binance began shipping a limited quantity of Binance Cards on July 24. A Binance representative also confirmed this piece of information.

It is worth mentioning that, after a number of months of waiting, with planning as well as testing, the crypto exchange giant begun delivering its debit card to customers in the European Economic Area.

As a reminder, Binance announced the card in April 2020, calling it Binance Card. The world’s largest exchange bought a Philippines-headquartered firm focused on crypto-to-fiat Visa debit cards. Interestingly, Swipe was operating prior to the acquisition. Swipe supported more than 20 cryptocurrencies at the time of the acquisition, overall.

Binance and Swipe officially announced this decision on July 6. Furthermore, thanks to this deal, it will be easier to make cryptocurrencies more popular for people worldwide.

Notably, Binance Card will become available in other countries as well. For example, this debit card will be available to order in the U.K. in the nearest future. This is not the end of the story, as Binance plans to offer this card to residents of other countries as well.Binance and European Economic Area

Many companies around the world are trying to deal with many of their problems. However, Binance is thriving. It employs more than 1,000 people as of now. Cryptocurrencies offer a number of advantages compared to fiat currencies. The coronavirus pandemic represents a serious challenge for the companies. However, Binance was able to strengthen its positions despite the ongoing situation. As stated above, it plans to offer its card to users in the U.K., as well as quite a few other countries.
