Key Takeaways
- Our verdict is to avoid Goldman Banc. The UK regulator warns it isn't authorised.
- The warning lists the same address and phone as this review's record, tying it to this firm.
- A bank-like name, or one copied from an authorised firm, proves no link to either.
- The firm's website is gone and its domain is up for sale, yet it could return under a new name.
- Its deposit bonuses and high leverage were offers an authorised firm may not make to UK retail CFD clients.
Our verdict in this Goldman Banc review is Avoid, the label our review method gives a firm a regulator has warned against. The FCA's warning of 7 May 2020 says Goldman Banc is not authorised by it and is targeting people in the UK. This puts the firm on the FCA warning list, so its customers have no Financial Ombudsman Service access or FSCS protection.
The warning lists the address and phone this review recorded in 2021. On 30 October 2026, goldmanbanc.com loaded in our browser as a HugeDomains page offering the domain for sale. If someone offers you a Goldman Banc account, check the firm's phone and address against that warning.

Is Goldman Banc legit?
No. It isn't a good place for a first deposit. A financial regulator has warned that it isn't authorised. This settles the answer before you compare a single account type or spread.
The FCA's clone warning of 10 February 2020 covers 'Goldmans Banc', with an address at Suite 305, Griffith Corporate Centre, Kingstown. The FCA names the firm the Goldmans Banc clone copied as GMB Portfolio Services Ltd, firm reference number 738159, on the same page, last updated on 24 May 2021. It calls GMB the genuine authorised firm and says GMB has no connection with the clone. A name that sounds like a famous bank proves no link to that bank, and a near-identical name proves no link to the firm it copies.
Who ran Goldman Banc is unclear. ForexBrokerz names Goldman Banc's company as Ozava Partners LTD, based in St Vincent and the Grenadines, in a review last updated on 15 January 2021. See this as ForexBrokerz's claim to check, because on its own it can't tell you which company would take your deposit.
A firm that loses its site, as goldmanbanc.com has, can come back under another name or domain.
FCA Warning and Regulation on Goldman Banc
Goldman Banc's regulatory record here rests on one document, a warning from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the UK regulator, that the firm is not authorised by it. Some review sites call Goldman Banc a scam, but the claim this review rests on is the FCA's: that the firm is unauthorised. The FCA page has not been updated since 7 May 2020. In the warning's own words:
"This firm is not authorised by us and is targeting people in the UK. You will not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), so you are unlikely to get your money back if things go wrong."
The Financial Conduct Authority, FCA warning on Goldman Banc, 7 May 2020
Because the firm is targeting people in the UK, check an unexpected call under the Goldman Banc name before you reply. Compare what the caller gives you with the details the Goldman Banc FCA warning lists:
| DETAIL | FCA WARNING OF 7 MAY 2020 AND THIS REVIEW'S EARLIER RECORD |
|---|---|
| Address | Suite 305, Griffith Corporate Centre, P.O. Box 1510, Beachmont, Kingstown |
| Phone | +44 20 3318 8243 |
The match ties the warning to the firm this review recorded. It doesn't prove that every caller using the name is the same operation, because anyone can copy a name or an address.
Kingstown is in St Vincent and the Grenadines, and a company address there does not turn an unregulated forex broker into a licensed one. In January 2023, the island's Financial Services Authority told companies registered there that engage in forex to provide licences from the authorities where they operate, as FinanceFeeds reported. A firm that explains the rules to you or calls itself authorised holds a licence only when a regulator's register shows it.
Since the FCA is the authority on this firm's status, so for this update we did not run a separate FCA Register check.
Before you send ID or money to anyone using their or any other name, run the FCA's checks in this order:
- Match the details: Take the firm reference number and contact details you were given, from the firm's footer or legal page. The FCA tells consumers to check that both match its FCA Firm Checker.
- Reply through the FCA Firm Checker: If the firm contacted you unexpectedly, answer only through the contact details the FCA Firm Checker lists. The FCA says fraudsters copy the details of firms it authorises, which is why a matching number on its own isn't enough.
Hold your ID documents until both checks are done, then work through the rest of what to check before a first deposit.
In practice: we read the FCA's Goldman Banc page on 30 October 2026. It lists a Kingstown address and a UK phone number, but no website. A caller who gives you only a name and a number gives you little to check, so ask for a firm reference number and test it in the FCA Firm Checker before anything else.
Goldman Banc Review of Account Types
Goldman Banc's account types offered a bigger bonus for a bigger deposit, which an FCA-authorised firm may not offer UK retail CFD clients. When this review last checked the firm's site in 2021, it listed five account types: micro, classic, silver, gold and platinum.
Micro
- Minimum deposit: $1,000
- Basic market introduction
- Up to 10% bonus
- Live session
Classic
- Minimum deposit: $5,000
- Advanced market introduction
- Up to 20% bonus
- E-Books
- Trading Signals
Silver
- Minimum deposit: $20,000
- Advanced market introduction
- Up to 40% bonus
- Advanced live sessions
- E-books
- Personal business plan
- Flexible spreads and swaps
- Trading signals
Gold
- Minimum deposit: $50,000
- Full Educational package
- Up to 75% bonus
- Advanced live sessions with Head Analyst
- Personal business plan
- Individual money and Risk management plan
- Flexible spreads and swaps
- No withdrawal fees
- Trading instruments
Platinum
- Minimum deposit: set individually
- Full educational package
- Unlimited live sessions with Head Analyst
- Long term business plan
- Individual money and risk management plan
- Lowest spreads and swaps
- No withdrawal fees
- Full instrument package
- Market psychology coaching
- Signals
- Annual traders Convention
Most of these perks are vague. The lists attach no terms to a live session, an e-book or a "business plan". The bonus climbs from up to 10% on Micro to up to 75% on Gold as the minimum deposit rises. The offer rewards you for sending more money up front, before you've tested a single withdrawal.
A deposit bonus is the clearest warning sign here. The FCA Handbook's rules in COBS 22.5 bar a firm from offering a retail client a monetary or non-monetary incentive when selling CFDs, and have done so since 1 August 2019. The section's guidance names bonuses for opening a new account. If you're a UK retail client and a broker offers you one, treat it as a sign the firm isn't authorised, and run an FCA Register check before you deposit.
The firm's maximum leverage of 1:200 (2021 record) is the second warning sign. The FCA's margin rules for retail CFDs (COBS 22.5.11R) require at least 3.33% margin on major currency pairs, which caps leverage near 30:1, and up to 20% on shares, or about 5:1. These limits have applied since 6 January 2021. If you are outside the UK, check your own regulator's current retail leverage rules before you trust an offer.
Conclusion: Goldman Banc Is Unauthorised and Best Avoided
Our verdict on Goldman Banc is to avoid it, and the firm suits no one looking for a place to deposit. The verdict rests on the regulator's warning that the firm isn't authorised, the address and phone that tie the warning to this review's record, and the firm's domain for sale. Look elsewhere in every case, at a firm whose entry you can find on the FCA Register or your own regulator's register.
Warning: Never Pay Recovery Fees
Before you deposit with any broker, read the FCA unauthorised firms guidance and run an FCA Register check. For a firm based overseas, the FCA tells consumers to check overseas regulators as well. Take the same care if anyone later offers to get money back. A recovery room scam works like this: fraudsters approach people who lost money to fraud or failed investments, offering to recover it for an upfront fee. The FCA advises anyone asked for a fee or for bank, card or other financial details to end all contact immediately and pay nothing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Goldman Banc legit and regulated?
Not by the FCA: its warning against the firm is why our verdict is Avoid. We read the FCA's warning pages on 30 October 2026 and found no update since 7 May 2020. Run your own FCA Firm Checker search by reference number and contact details, and check overseas regulators as well, before you deposit.
Has a regulator warned about Goldman Banc, and when?
Yes, the FCA, the UK regulator, put Goldman Banc on its warning list on 7 May 2020. The warning gives an address at the Griffith Corporate Centre in Kingstown and the phone number +44 20 3318 8243. It says the firm is not authorised and is targeting people in the UK. The FCA page has not been updated since and lists no website for the firm.
Is Goldman Banc connected to Goldman Sachs?
We found no evidence of a link between Goldman Banc and Goldman Sachs. The FCA's warning ties the firm to a Kingstown address and a +44 phone number, not to any bank. A bank-like name tells you nothing about who runs a firm, so judge it by the address, phone number and website it gives you.
Is Goldman Banc the same as Goldmans Banc?
The FCA warns about them separately: Goldmans Banc has its own warning, as a clone of an authorised firm. Each warning gives an address at the Griffith Corporate Centre, Kingstown, but a shared address doesn't show the two are one operation. If someone uses either name, check their details against that name's own warning before you reply.
Is Goldman Banc still operating, and can I get my money back?
We can't confirm the firm has closed, but goldmanbanc.com now redirects to a page offering the domain for sale. Getting money back is unlikely. The FCA says the firm's customers have neither Ombudsman access nor FSCS protection. If anyone offers to recover your money for an upfront fee, the FCA advises ending all contact and paying nothing.
