Google Messages and its New Feature

Google will launch an app that will identify skin conditions

Tech giant Google continues to expand its services. It is worth mentioning that, Messages is an SMS and instant messaging application developed by Google for its Android mobile operating system. Moreover, a web interface is also available.

It is no secret that Google Messages offers a variety of exclusive features. For example, it allows texting from the web and there are quite a few things it can’t do. Interestingly, it seems it begun to allow a limited number of people to schedule when messages should be sent.

Importantly, over the last two years, this application has grown in two distinct directions. Notability, the first is to become an app competitive with iMessage. It is worth mentioning that, to this end, Messages can enable Rich Communication Services (RCS) “Chat Features” on all Android phones in a variety of countries, bringing other iMessage-like capabilities such as using an emoji reaction on a message.

This is not the end of the story, Messages became more productive like Gmail. Importantly, the biggest sign of this growth is the recent development of “Message Organization”.

Interestingly, one feature of Gmail that fans of Google Messages wanted to add, is the ability to schedule the messages to be sent a later time. This feature is already available through other texting apps. Hopefully, the tech giant started to roll scheduled messaging to at least some people. It means this feature will be available for everyone in the nearest future.

How to use Google Messages

Let’s have a look at the new feature of Google Messages. The first step is to write a message, after typing the message, a person can tap and hold on the “Send” button to open a pop-up with scheduling options. Interestingly, a person can select a time from a trio of presets, such as “Later today” or “Later tonight” or choose a specific date and time to send.

Once a person selects the perfect time to send a message, the message becomes very clearly labeled as a “Scheduled message”. It is quite easy to use this feature. For example, if a person wants to change the message, or delete it altogether, they simply have to tap on the message to get another popup menu.

At the moment, it is hard to discuss the exact date of the arrival of the new feature. However, Google Messages continue to expand its services. Google wants to compete with iMessage and to achieve this goal, the tech giant should offer new features.
