Hospitals around the world are struggling to cope with the coronavirus pandemic. Moreover, even for the countries with the biggest economies, it is tough to deal with the coronavirus pandemic. Hopefully, one hospital in Cyprus is using the blockchain-based medical data management platform developed by VeChain and I-Dante. Thanks to this platform it will be easier to handle medical data.
Several days ago, the blockchain-tracking platform released important information on its Twitter account. Interestingly, VeChain created the blockchain-based medical data management platform in collaboration with digital healthcare solution firm I-Dante. Moreover, this platform is already working and the platform will store COVID-19 testing results.
As stated above, the first hospital that is using the blockchain-based medical data management platform is located in the Republic of Cyprus. The platform dubbed E-NewHealthLife will make it easier to solve certain issues regarding the coronavirus pandemic.
Blockchain-Based Management Platform and new opportunities
Importantly, when people go to the hospital’s COVID-19 laboratory to undergo real-time diagnostic and antibodies testing, their medical, as well as test results, will be recorded on Blockchain.
It is worth mentioning that the results will also be able to the E-HCert application. As a result, thanks to E-HCert it is possible to reduce the costs when it comes to data sharing and storage.
Privacy is very important for billions of people around the world. However, the data stored on the platform belongs to the data owner. Moreover, users have full control over their data and medical records. Also, this is not the end of the story as people can access their results on the app. Furthermore, it is possible to prove the health status by using this app.
As a result, people have the opportunity to comply with local quarantine and health regulations when it comes to returning to work, etc.
