US-based forex trading platform OANDA has announced a multi-year partnership with New York Red Bulls, making it the official jersey sleeve patch partner. Starting from 7 May, the OANDA logo will display on the Red Bull’s jerseys during their match against Portland Timbers at the Red Bull Arena.
Besides the Red Bulls, the partnership will also include other assets of Red Bull, such as experiential and branding assets at various events and media properties. Fans will purchase authentic club jerseys with the OANDA logo from select retailers, while EA Sports’ FIFA video game series will also feature the sleeve patch.
According to the terms of the deal, OANDA will also become an official sponsor of New York Red Bulls II, the club’s USL Championship affiliate. The company’s brand will be present in the team’s jersey, digital channels, and at-home games.
It’s not the first time OANDA has partnered with a football club, as the company had a similar partnership with Watford FC.
We are pleased to have OANDA on our team as the new Official Jersey Sleeve Patch Partner. The company is a world leader in online trading and sharing our ambitions to be the best, so this is a perfect fit for us,” said Marc de Grandpré, General Manager of New York Red Bulls.
“OANDA has a long-standing commitment to innovation and technology leadership, which makes them the ideal partner for us as we strive to be the most technologically advanced club in Major League Soccer and USL Championship,” he added.
“We’re thrilled to join forces with the New York Red Bulls, one of the most inspiring clubs in MLS. We can’t wait to celebrate their on-field success and show off OANDA’s world-class brand and platform to new audiences. ” Gavin Bambury, the CEO of OANDA, said.
