Android and Apple users alike are still waiting for Samsung to launch the new Galaxy Buds+. The company launched an app for the upcoming product in the Apple App store, and fans can’t wait to compare.

The app will allow iOS users to enjoy an “optimized experience on the go,” said a Samsung spokesperson. It currently works on iPhone 7 or newer and iOS 10 or higher, featuring a picture of the earbuds.

Rumor has it, the update to last year’s Galaxy Buds will launch at the company’s Unpacked event on February 11. Reports believe the wireless earbuds will have a long battery life but without noise cancellation.

Samsung is also preparing to launch new Galaxy phones, namely: Galaxy S20 5G, S20 Plus 5G, and S20 UItra 5G. There’s also the Galaxy Z flip, a clamshell foldable phone rivaling the Motorola Razr.

Maybe the company might also release the Galaxy Watch 2.

These would bring a larger 5G scale to the general public. As the largest phone brand in the world, the network could exponentially spread these devices in the market.

Samsung will hold the event next week in San Francisco, where people expect to introduce new flagships.

Fans expect the Galaxy S20 to cost as much as the iPhone 11 series, with its Ultra version at $1,200. Max Weinbach of XDA Developers believes S20 will cost $850 and Plus will cost $950.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra will come in black and grey, the S20 Plus in black, grey, and blue. The S20, on the other hand, will come in grey, pink, and blue.

Color availability will vary by region.

The new Samsung flagships might have single punch-hole front-facing cameras. This deviates from their former side-selfie camera, which costs more than just anxiety for some loyal users.

Both the S20 5G and the Pro versions have 12-megapixel main cameras with 64-megapixel telephoto and 12-megapixel ultrawide. They will also have 10-megapixel front cameras, while Ultra 5G front cameras will have 40-megapixels.

However, the former will have 3x optimal zoom, while the latter will have 3x digital zoom and a time-of-flight sensor.

Screen sizes for each upgrade range from 6.2 to 6.9 inches, all with AMOLED displays with 120Hz refresh rates.

Batteries for each phone come in at 4,000, 4,5000, and 5,000-mAH batteries. Pro/Plus 5G will have 25-watt fast charging while the Ultra 5G will come with an optional 45-watt fast charger.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processors are in all versions.

The S20 Pro will start with 128GB storage alongside S20 5G. The Ultra 5G will have 128GB, 256, and 512GB options.

Galaxy Buds Comparisons

Currently, the Galaxy Buds cost $130, £139, or AU$249. It operates for 6 hours straight with moderate volume levels, although with less bass and only some treble presence.

Critics claim that AKG, the audio company responsible for the earphones, creates better sound for the Jabra Elite 65t. The $140 wireless devices fit better and work better as a headset for making calls.

Anker’s SoundCore Liberty Air delivers richer sound with a fuller bass, like the UA True Wireless Flash Engineered by JBL. The more expensive option has a larger set of buds.

When compared to the original AirPods, the sound sounds better, especially in noisy environments. However, Apple’s earbuds usually feel better in the users’ ears.

The second-gen AirPods included an always-on Siri option, which gave leverage to the ever-exclusive company.
