CMC Markets Renews Blues Sponsorship for 3 More Years

CMC Markets, a London-based financial services firm, has extended its sponsorship agreement with New Zealand’s professional rugby team, the Blues, for another three years.

The two companies initially agreed to a partnership deal in February 2021 for two seasons. The three-year renewal was announced just as the existing arrangement ended.

CMC Markets will be Blues’ official trading partner until 2025. Under the new agreement, the CMC logo will also appear on the players’ shorts, other official team apparel, and broker’s brand signs at Eden Park stadium.

According to Andrew Hore, CMC Markets CEO, the company is a leading and pioneering business globally. Their local staff is passionate about sports and investing in the community. He stated that they were both competitive, aspired to surpass each other, and anticipated continuing to develop together and assist one another in the future.

Popular Sports Sponsorships

Sports sponsorships have been a popular marketing tool for financial services companies for many years. Some brokers have formed deals with sports teams to expand their branding and place it in front of millions of fans globally.

Rugby is a national pastime in New Zealand, and CMC aims to promote it through its association with the Blues.
