More than 740k tons of commodities traded at IME in a week

Throughout the past Iranian week (closed on Friday), 740,132 plenty of commodities priced at $513 million were traded at Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME). The general public relations and international affairs Department of the exchange stated.

In the past week, IME traded 378,696 loads of commodities priced at almost $305 million on its mineral and industrial floor.

Commodities traded on this floor were 4,560 tons of copper, 2,079 tons of aluminum, 200 tons of coke, 120 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 371,751 tons of steel, 20 kg of gold bars.

The floor was the oil and petrochemical, selling 360,482 tons of commodities priced at quite $208 million.

On this floor, the exchange-traded 82,500 tons of vacuum bottom, 120,933 tons of bitumen, 75,563 tons of polymeric products, 44,904 tons of chemicals, 24,000 tons of lube cut, 5,215 plenty of base oil, 110 tons of argon, and 7,525 tons of sulfur.

It’s meriting noting that the IME also attended a trade of 953 tons of commodities on its side market.

The number of trades at the Iran Mercantile Exchange within the past Iranian calendar year (closed on March 20) rose 108 percent associated with the previous year.

Around 3.5 quadrillion rials (about $83.5 billion) of commodities were traded at the stated market during the past year.

As stated, over 33.39 million tons of goods priced at 3.12 quadrillion rials (approximately $74.43 billion) were traded at the exchange’s physical market, recording 27 percent and 127 percent of the expansion terms weight and value, individually.

In the specified year, several new records were obtained regarding the quantity and value of transactions within the related market’s various floors, including the economic, petroleum, and petrochemical floors.

The IME’s mineral and industrial floor observed the trade of 13.738 million tons of commodities, meriting quite 1.66 quadrillion rials (about $39.5 billion) within the said year.

This floor was a platform to exchange 12.437 million tons of steel, 207,205 tons of copper, 238,920 tons of aluminum, 675 kg of gold bars13,795 tons of zinc, 515 tons of lead, and 1,300 tons of forged iron.

On its oil and petrochemical floor, the IME sold quite 5.141 million tons of commodities deserving over 833 trillion rials (above $19.8 billion) to register 11 percent and 96 percent of the rise in terms of value and weight individually.

Saffron and dates were the very best sold commodities on the agricultural floor, including 84 tons of saffron and 610 tons of dates being traded on this floor.

IME is one of the four principal stock markets of Iran. Therefore the other three markets are the Tehran stock market (TSE), Iran’s over-the-counter (OTC) market, also recognized as Iran Fara Bourse (IFB), and Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX).
