Cryptocurrencies step by step gained popularity in different parts of the world. Interestingly, a company called Robocoin placed a Bitcoin ATM in a Vancouver coffee shop. In 7 years, the number of crypto ATMs surpassed 11,000. According to CoinATMRadar, the estimated number of crypto ATMs around the world is about 11,665.

Importantly, this reflects a remarkable rise in the number of crypto ATMs compared to last year. As a reminder, the number of crypto ATMs at the end of 2019 was estimated at 6372 machines. Consequently, in less than one year the number of ATMs increased by 80%. This fact once more underlines the attractiveness of cryptocurrencies.

It is worth noting that, the number of crypto ATMs is constantly increasing by an average of 23 machines every day or nearly one new ATM per hour.

This is not the end of the story, as there is also a growing diversity of the spread of crypto ATMs within the country. For example, it is possible to find such ATMs in small shops, shopping centers, transportation hubs, and even one in the Tesla Gigafactory.

The second place to the neighboring country. In Canada, there are 880 ATMs and the third-place belongs to the United Kingdom with 268 crypto ATMs. Interestingly, there are 62 such ATMs in Hong Kong. People should keep in mind that, in Colombia, at the moment it is possible to use 59 ATMs.

It worth mentioning that, South Africa occupied the leadership of the continent with 6 ATMs. However, Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa and the country has the largest economy in Africa as well. Several months ago, the country welcomed its first Bitcoin ATM. Moreover, the country has the potential to develop when it comes to cryptocurrencies
