At the end of 2020, Xiaomi announced their new flagship, the Mi 11. Interestingly, the Chinese variant phone sports a modified design as well as upgraded specs that give a good look at the kind of high-end features top Android phones and customers will receive this year. Moreover, there are bound to be some changes to the European as well as global versions of the Mi 11.
It is worth mentioning that, the changes to the design of the Mi 11 in comparison to the Mi 10 appear minor. Interestingly, from the front, the display is slightly larger at 6.81-inches in comparison to the Mi 10’s 6.67-inch screen. Notably, the extra space seems to have come from the shrinking of the device, while increasing the height and maintaining the curved sides and hole-punch camera on the front. Let’s have a look at the display. The Mi 11 comes with the new OLED display.
Interestingly, the Mi 11 is powered by the Snapdragon 888 and offers either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. It is worth mentioning that, storage starts at 128GB or 256GB, which is unfortunately still generous in the smartphone world.
People should take into account that, like most new smartphones, the Xiaomi Mi 11 also has Wi-Fi 6 as well as support 5G. Interestingly, the Mi 11 comes without a charging brick. According to Lei Jun who serves as the CEO of Xiaomi, the Mi 11 will follow Apple’s footsteps in removing the charging brick from the box for environmental as well as cost-saving reasons.
Companies around the world are working hard to sell more products. There are many interesting smartphones, which means companies have to produce more and more sophisticated smartphones to adapt to the ever-changing environment. The companies are willing to invest in new technologies, to strengthen their positions in the market.
