Bang & Olufsen and its Latest Portable Bluetooth Speaker

Bang & Olufsen is a world-famous company and its new products attract attention from media as well as fans. It is worth mentioning that, its latest portable Bluetooth speaker is the Beolit 20. Interestingly, it is a lunchbox-sized successor to Beolit 17.

Importantly, the new speaker comes with a new Qi wireless charging pad that can be found on top of the speaker. Thanks to this pad, it is possible to charge other devices such as phones or earbuds. However, before discussing Beolit 20, let’s have a look at Beolit 17.

Interestingly, the predecessor of Beolit 20 was announced in March 2017. That model offered a more powerful sound and a faster charging USB-C port. Moreover, Beolit 17 came with a new Connect button. Moreover, Beolit 17 offered a slight upgrade to the at that time the latest Bluetooth 4.2 standard for connecting to devices.

However, it had the same aluminum and plastic design as the Beolit 15. The price of Beolit 17 was $499. As can be seen from the information stated above, Bang & Olufsen made small but important changes. However, the latest portable Bluetooth speaker offers an interesting feature such as a wireless charging pad.

Bang & Olufsen and Beolit 20

Let’s get back to the Beollit 20. Based on the information provided by Bang & Olufsen, Beolit 20 can play for 30% longer than its predecessor. The latest portable Bluetooth speaker comes with a 3,200mAh battery, which offers 37 hours of listening at low volumes. However, this reduces to a little over 8 hours if the user is listening at typical levels or just 4 hours at max volume.

However, in many aspects, the Beolit 20 features a similar design to the Beolit 17. The latest portable speaker comes with a leather carrying strap, a USB-C port for charing. Moreover, it has a 3.5mm jack for wired connectivity. Furthermore, the owner will find buttons to handle Bluetooth pairing, volume as well as playback control. People should take into account that, there is no multi-function button. However, the owner gets a dedicated play/pause button.

Internally, Beolit 20 has a single 5.5-inch woofer, three 1.5-inch full-range drivers, as well as a pair of 4-inch passive bass radiators. Interestingly, the speaker uses Bluetooth 4.2 standard. Importantly, Beolit 20 can be paired up to work in stereo, with another Beolit 20 or Beolit 17.

The price of Bang & Olufsen’s latest portable Bluetooth speaker is $500. The potential buyers have the opportunity to choose either choose a gray or black color. The Beolit 20 is available from October 29
