Criminal Investigation Division Command and Crypto

It is harder to track cryptocurrencies in comparison to fiat currencies. Unfortunately, criminal groups have started to use cryptocurrencies to evade law enforcement agencies. However, authorities are willing to tackle the problems connected with crypto-related crimes. The United States Army Criminal Investigation Division Command (USACIDC) needs, for example, a Software-as-a-Service web application to do so. With the help of such an application, they can identify cryptocurrency transactions.

According to the information taken from a statement published on July 10, USACIDC is prepared when it comes to using this application. Notably, the Major Cybercrime Unit, as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), will also use this application.

Thd USACIDC, the Major Cybercrime Unit, and the FBI want to use this application to detect activities such as fraud, extortion, and money laundering carried out using cryptocurrencies.

People should take into account that, USACIDC is taking bids, for developed, tested, and ready-to-deploy web applications. The organization is ready to take do so until July 20.

The Criminal Investigation Division Command conducts criminal investigations in different parts of the world. The organization is looking for an application, that has the capability to analyze Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies in real-time.

Furthermore, users should be able to conduct an in-depth investigation regarding the source of cryptocurrency transactions with such an application.

This list of requirements is quite lengthy, as the application should help the organization with quick detection of criminal activity and suspicious connections. Moreover, the USACIDC wants to use this application to identify suspicious cryptocurrency transactions and to investigate cryptocurrency connections.

Importantly, the USACIDC plans to spot suspicious transaction patterns and interactions with other entities. Additionally, this application should include a link analysis tool to facilitate the analysis of data.

Countries located in North America, as well as other parts of the world, should work together to cope with various crimes, including illegal crypto-related activities.
