Crypto Conference in Tennessee vs 2,000 Participants

Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and others offer a number of advantages in comparison with fiat currencies. Moreover, there is no shortage of crypto-related events not only in the U.S. but around the world.

Recently, securities fraud and investment loss attorney David Silver has filed a class-action lawsuit. Interestingly, Silver filed this lawsuit on behalf of attendees against the organizer of the canceled of the crypto conference.

Let’s have a look at this lawsuit. Importantly, Ashley Gentry is the lead plaintiff in a 2,000-person lawsuit against Jacob Kostecki. As a reminder, Kostecki is the creator of “Massive Adoption in Memphis: Blockchain and Digital Assets”.

Moreover, the crypto conference was scheduled for February 2020. However, the organizer of this event made the decision to cancel the conference at the end of January.

According to the attorney, Kostecki caused significant financial loss. Also, he failed to carry out his promises. Importantly, the filing demands compensation for damages due to lost airfares as well as attorney fees, and other related costs and interest.

It is worth mentioning that, Kostecki plans to refund tickets and packages form the conference in six months.

Interestingly, this is not the first problem regarding this festival. Notably, the festival was scheduled for November 2019, but then the date changed to February 27-28, 2020.

The organizer of the conference in Tennessee unexpectedly canceled this conference. Kostecki used his Twitter account to clarify his position. Kostecki admitted that he owes repayments to many people. Nevertheless, promises made on Twitter failed to impress hundreds of people who planned to attend this crypto conference.

Importantly, 2,000 people wanted to attend the festival. Also, the total number of speakers was quite impressive. Furthermore, the organizer sold tickets and airfare packages months prior to the event.
