Andreessen Horowitz is the Silicon Valley capital fund, which decided to open the crypto school called “a16z Crypto Startup School.”
The application for the students willing to take part in this program will end on Sunday. This venture fund from California announced a free seven-week long blockchain education program for technologists in November.
According to the information, 40 students will have the opportunity to learn about cryptocurrencies as well as blockchain computing principles. Moreover, they will learn how to build a start-up.
The blockchain education program starts in February. Each week students will spend 15 hours as part of the crypto startup school. Also, no prior crypto experience is necessary. The classes will take place in a16z’s headquarters in Menlo Park, California. People who would apply should keep in mind that it is not possible to attend remotely.
It is worth mentioning that Andreessen Horowitz was the first venture capital firm from Silicon Valley, which invested in crypto.
In 2013, it invested $25 million in Coinbase. Also, this venture capital firm provided funds for Coinbase in 2018. Moreover, it helped to raise $163 million in two rounds of investment for Dfinity, which is a competitor to Ethereum.
This firm from Silicon Valley created a serious project as without education; it will be hard to build successful crypto startups.
Let’s have a look at the people connected with the crypto community who will teach at this school. This program is a unique opportunity to learn from some of the most educated people in this industry.
The CEO of Coinbase Brian Armstrong is one of them. Also, instructors from a16z Chris Dixon and Ben Horowitz will take part in this program. Dan Boneh, professor of computer science from Stanford University. The list of instructors shows that students should do their best to learn as much as possible.
At the end of the program, there will be an open day, where students will have the opportunity to show off their projects.
