Ripple’s CEO, Regulators, and Norwegian Air

Brad Garlinghouse is the CEO of Ripple. He would like to demolish banker’s fear of cryptocurrencies. Moreover, he plans to convince them to join the crypto industry. Another interesting news comes from Norway. Norwegian Air plans to accept cryptocurrencies.

Ripple’s CEO believes that it is important to explain to regulators as well as bankers how crypto works to change their attitude towards the cryptocurrencies. According to Galinghouse, crypto, especially XRP, can be used to deal with problems and not evade regulations.

He also discussed the adoption of Ripple’s crypto asset for on-demand liquidity XRP. He mentioned that in the last week, people used XRP for $54 million in cash flows to Mexico. Moreover, he claimed that this is 7.5% of the total flow of U.S. dollars to Mexican pesos.

Norwegian Air and Cryptocurrencies

Stig Kjos-Mathisen made an interesting comment about the cryptocurrencies. He is the son-in-law of Bjorn Kjos-Mathisen, the founder and CEO of Norwegian Air. Moreover, Kjos-Mathisen is the CEO of the Norwegian Block Exchange (NBX).

According to the CEO of NBX, his crypto trading platform successfully developed payment infrastructure. This is very important news as thanks to this infrastructure customers will be able to purchase tickets with digital assets.

Moreover, everything is ready, and crypto owners will be able to use this feature possibly as early as the spring.  It is excellent news for the customers of Norwegian Air.

Last year, Norway’s one of the oldest banks acquired a 16.3% in NBX for a reported $1.6 million.

Interestingly, in September 2019, the exchange opened for beta users. Currently, it is accepting general customers.

At the moment, it is not clear which cryptocurrencies NBX will support on its platform.

Such projects will help to raise awareness regarding the cryptocurrencies. Brad Garlinghouse is willing to explain the importance of crypto to regulators and bankers. Moreover, NBX, in cooperation with Norwegian Air, will make it easier to purchase plane tickets with digital assets.
