Georgia’s vibrant presence at the International Import Expo reaffirms its status as a flourishing centre for economic collaboration and trade. Deputy Economy Ministers Genadi Arveladze and Irakli Nadareishvili underscored the significance of this platform for the Georgian company, emphasising the manifold benefits it offers in strengthening global ties, fostering economic growth, and expanding export horizons.

Companies From Georgia Rule the Expo

Arveladze highlighted how the expo is a gateway to “new export opportunities” for Georgian companies. Georgian manufacturers excelled in previous editions of the event, clinching lucrative long-term contracts that amounted to an impressive $20 million. Enterprise Georgia organised this year’s representation, highlighting 40 companies presenting diverse products such as wines, textiles, and accessories. Furthermore, the Chinese Vice Minister and Deputy International Trade Representative, Ling Ji, toured the Georgian pavilion, accentuating the need for deeper economic ties between Beijing and the capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi.

Georgia in the Global Spotlight

Nadareishvili shed light on the active role played by the Ministry and Enterprise Georgia in promoting the country’s exporters. Two extensive pavilions showcased Georgian excellence in the food, beverage, and textile sectors. With the participation of governmental figures such as Mikheil Khidureli, Archil Kalandia, Gela Samkharadze, and Zaal Dugladze, Georgia’s representation demonstrated a united front in furthering the nation’s economic interests. Georgian companies leverage the expo as a pivotal platform, showcasing products to Chinese consumers, attracting importers, and nurturing global collaborations.

With recent talks about Georgia entering the EU, the country is definitely gaining some international coverage.

In conclusion, as the International Import Expo unfolds in Shanghai, Georgia’s robust presence reflects the nation’s commitment to navigating global markets with finesse. Arveladze, Nadareishvili, and Enterprise Georgia Director Mikheil Khidureli lead Georgian companies, positioning them to seize the prime business opportunity. Ling Ji’s inspection of the Georgian pavilion highlights the need to strengthen trade and economic relations between China and Georgia. Through active participation in the International Import Expo, the Georgian company collaborates and leaves a lasting impact globally.
