Ethereum’s crazy surge: Ethereum might hit $5000 this week

The world’s second-largest cryptocurrency, Ethereum, has risen by more than 321%, while the price of Bitcoin has increased by 98%.

After the European Investment Bank issued its first digital bond sale on the Ethereum blockchain network, Ethereum has been upward.

In the case of increased demand, the supply of Ethereum has been declining. Enterprises have been investing in Ethereum-centric startups. It includes big-name companies such as MasterCard, UBS, and JPMorgan Chase.

If you invested $1,000 in Ether in 2015, it would be worth more than $4.7 million today.

Ethereum continued to set records on Monday, setting a new all-time high of $3,204.

The CEO of a financial consulting company said he believes that cryptocurrency will exceed $5,000 next week.

Nigel Green, CEO, and founder of deVere Group, said that the era of Ethereum has arrived. The digital currency can already expand its market share very well.

Today, Ethereum has become the most actively used blockchain. Calculated by market value, Ether is the second-largest cryptocurrency after Bitcoin. So far, the mainstream financial world, including institutional investors, has regarded cryptocurrencies as legitimate assets.

Both cryptocurrencies have seen an astronomical surge in 2020 and 2021.

Ethereum is facing fierce competition from Binance Smart Chain. It is a blockchain infrastructure developed by the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange. Since late April, it has processed more than 8 million transactions per day on average.

Who is the youngest Crypto billionaire?

Ether’s boom in recent months is partly due to its usage in the non-fungible token (NFT) transactions. It soared above $3,200 on Monday and made its creator, Russian-Canadian programmer Vitalik Buterin, a billionaire.

Buterin’s public Ether address, which he stated as his main cryptocurrency wallet in 2018, holds approximately 333,500 Ether, valued at $1.029 billion.

According to reports, Buterin was born in the town of Kolomna outside Moscow in 1994. He later moved to Canada with his family and grew up in Toronto. Before launching Ethereum, at the age of 18 in 2012, Buterin co-founded the “Bitcoin” magazine with Mihai Alise.  Mihai Alise later founded Ethereum with Buterin. In 2014, Buterin was awarded the prestigious Thiel Scholarship, providing $100,000 for young people under 23. The scholarship was funded by billionaire Peter Thiel, an early investor in Facebook and a Stanford University graduate. A year later, Russian-Canadian entrepreneurs and other development teams launched Frontier, called “the barebones implementation of the Ethereum project.” It was the beginning of Ethereum.
