Recently, eToro ended its three-year affiliation with Rugby Australia, choosing not to extend the sponsorship pact inked in 2021. The agreement had established eToro as the naming partner for inbound Tests, including The Rugby Championship, and as a partner to the Wallabies. The eToro emblem was present on all associated team branding, notably on the right rear of the Wallaby kit shorts.
Early collaboration in 2020 saw eToro sponsor the “2020 Tri-Nations,” marking the start of a relationship thought to be long-term. However, the recent conclusion of the partnership indicates a change in eToro’s sponsorship strategy.
eToro Inks 3-Year Sponsorship Deal with APL
In the meantime, eToro embarked on a new venture by signing a three-year sponsorship contract with the Australian Professional Leagues (APL). This deal denotes eToro as the Official Trading and Investing Platform for APL.
The partnership spans the Isuzu UTE A-League Men and Liberty A-League Women leagues. eToro’s branding will be featured on the men’s jerseys for the 2023/2024 season, on competition substitution boards, and digitally on A-Leagues channels.
The APL Commissioner, Nick Garcia, was optimistic about the partnership, noting their strong global presence in football. He added that the Liberty A-League Women had achieved remarkable success and expected an “outstanding season” from the Isuzu UTE A-League Men.
eToro’s sponsorship endeavors extend to international sports leagues like the English Premier League, German Bundesliga, Spanish Liga ACB, and UK Premiership Rugby.
Robert Francis, the Managing Director of eToro Australia, expressed his excitement about supporting teams of both genders. He said they hoped to encourage more people to invest for a secure financial future. He looked forward to enjoying excellent football at the games.
